Washing

There are situations in life that leave a dense, depleting residue on our being. We may not always notice the static these situations leave around us, but we may experience feelings of disorientation, depletion, confusion, sadness, overwhelm, or a lingering sense of 'something doesn't feel right.'

Left unaddressed, this residue continues to build, tainting our garments, depleting our vitality, and tugging at our peace.

What is a Washing Ritual?

A Washing is a gentle, nourishing yet powerful act of sacred spirit tending. There is something beautifully potent about bringing our soiled garments—our body, mind, and spirit—to be cleansed by the grace of Water.

Water has long been revered across various cultures and spiritual practices, a testament to its intrinsic healing and purifying qualities. Many traditions acknowledge water as more than a mere physical cleanser—it is a living symbol for spiritual renewal, a divine medium for washing away metaphysical impurities, and a conduit for divine grace.

Arts of Communion

This cleansing rite invokes the Warrior archetype within us, prompting us to reach for our sword so we may cut away that which is obstructing our path. It requires a choice and a refinement of our conviction to honor that choice, once made, without looking back - as a warrior must.

We don't come to the waters with our prayers for cleansing and renewal because we are too weak to handle our lives - though weary we might be. We come to be washed of what we've discerned is neither nourishing, nor serving our ability to protect what is precious in our lives, what IS worth protecting – versus what is NOT, what is only depleting and confusing us. Can we identify and name what must be washed away so we may continue forth with full faith and strength?

This intentional cleansing rite will fortify your inherent wisdom, help you reorient towards your true north, and rekindle your capacity for joy and presence.
